Ingredients
- 6 Eggs
- 6 tablespoons Sugar
- 3/4 cup Wheat flour
- 1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1.7 ounces Almondspeeled
- 14 ounces Cream Cheese
- 1 Lemon
- 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 4 cups Red Groatssweet fruit from Norway
- a pinch Salt
How to Make Danish Layer Cake
1 Done | Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper. Separate the eggs by yoke and whites. Whisk the egg whites with 1 pinch of salt and 1 pinch of sugar then chill. Beat the egg yolks and add the rest of the sugar. Add the flour and baking powder to the egg mass and fold in with the almonds using a whisk making the dough. |
2 Done | Spread the dough across the baking sheet using your hands. Bake in the oven on the middle shelf for about 20 minutes. Then remove, let cool and cut into quarters. |
3 Done | For the cream, mix the cream cheese with lemon juice and the vanilla extract. Spread a quarter of the pastry with the cream and put some red groats on it. Put on another quarter of the dough and layer the cake. The last layer should be cream with red groats. You can add other berries such as strawberry if desired. Cut into serving sizes and enjoy! |
