Ingredients
- 1 handful Palak Leaves
- 2 teaspoons Cardamon
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Cardamon
- 1 teaspoon Cloves
- 1 teaspoon Peppercorn
- 1 teaspoon Star Anise
- 1 teaspoon Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Bay Leaves
- 1 Onion
- 2 Green Chiliesslited
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Ginger Paste
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
- 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
- 1 teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
- 1 cup Basmati Ricesoaked
- 2 teaspoons Olive Oil
How to Make Palak Pulao
1 Done | Begin chopping the palak leaves into small pieces. Then finely chop 1 large onion. Wash and soak 1 cup of basmati rice for 10 minutes. Once these are fully prepared, add 2 teaspoons of ghee and then 2 teaspoons of olive oil to the pressure cooker. Then begin adding the spices such as cardaman, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf, peppercorn, star anise, and cumin. Add the chopped onion to the mix. |
2 Done | Start to saute the onions and then add 2 green chili peppers. Stir and add 1/2 teaspoons of ginger garlic paste and 1/4 teaspoons of tumeric powder. Mix together and then add 1 teaspoon of red chili powder, 1 teaspoon of coriander powder, 1 teaspoon of cumin powder, and 1 teaspoon of garam masala powder. Stir the substances together. |
3 Done | Add the chopped palak leaves to the pressure cooker and mix. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 cup of soaked basmati rice to the pressure cooker and stir it in. Pour 2 cups of water and stir softly with a wooden spoon so you do not to break the rice. |
4 Done | Place the lid on the pressure cooker and turn to medium heat. Pressure cook for about 6 minutes. Let the pan sit for about 15 minutes. Dish up and serve hot! |
