4 lbs Potatoes

4 tablespoons Truffle Butter
4 tablespoons Butter

How to Make Truffled Mashed Potatoes


Prepare the recipe by cutting the potatoes into 1 inch pieces. Then pick out 2 cloves of garlic. Salt a pot of about 2 and a half quarts of water. Place the pieces of potato in a large pot. Set the burner to high heat and add two cloves of garlic. Bring the potatoes to a boil. Then uncover and cook the potatoes for about 15 minutes or until you can easily pierce the potatoes with a fork. After the potatoes are cooked, remove them from heat then drain.


Turn the heat off and return the potatoes to an empty pot. Then mash the potatoes with a potato masher until they are smooth. Stir in the sour cream, truffle butter, and 4 tablespoons of plain butter to taste. Stir in a cup of water a little bit at a time until the potatoes have a creamy consistency. Season the potatoes with salt and pepper. Keep the potatoes in a covered pot until ready to serve. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve.
